Members of the Court
Members of the Court form the bulk of the Court, comprising of the general ranks to be found within the Court. No one rank has precedent over another, with each portfolio being considered equal to the other portfolios
Members of the Court
Ambassador
Ambassadors to the Court are individuals appointed or recognised by their home nation to represent their faction’s interests at Court, but also ensure the interests of individuals from their faction, residing within the Kingdom (e.g. a Dwarven Ambassador must ensure the protection of Dwarven individuals in the Kingdom, and that they are appropriately represented). Ambassadors generally do not have a vote, as votes generally refer to the workings of the Kingdom of Stormwind, and not their own faction, however, should a vote concern their faction, exceptions may be allowed. Regardless of voting, an Ambassador is always permitted to attend Committee and Council, and have a say in ongoing affairs, and are allowed voting rights in Committee.
Court Magus
The Court Magi form the backbone of the Court’s cadré of magical specialists. It is the duty of the Court Magi to advise the Court on magical matters, as well as attending and aiding the Magical Affairs Committee’s endeavours, in whatever capacity. Court Magi have voting powers in Committee and at Court, and many of the Court Magi hail from the Stormwind Circle of Magi or the Kirin Tor, and so it is well known that the Court Magi are some of the most gifted magical scholars in the whole of the Eastern Kingdoms and beyond.
Knight
The Knight’s of the Court are generally considered to be the enforcers and protectors of the Court and its interests. Comprising of some of the most chivalric and respectful men and women in the Kingdom, the Knight’s of the Court offer their expertise in a range of matters based on their individual specialisations, and are the epitome of honour and dignity. Knights have access to full voting rights within the Court.
Noble
The Nobles of the Court are those men and women holding a hereditary title in the peerage of the Kingdom of Stormwind, and therefore are allowed to attend the Court representing their people and, by extension, the Kingdom as a whole. The Noble’s, as with the Knight’s, are able to offer a range of advice depending on whether or not they specialise in any particular areas, but in general, the Nobles are a reliable and staunch group of Courtiers.
Official
Officials of the Court form the cadré of civil servants, assisting and aiding the Court in their day-to-day duties by providing expert advice in their field of expertise. Officials can range from a number of different subject areas and backgrounds, be it in public relations, culture, justice, general policy, intelligence or any other area in which the Court could benefit from specified advice. As Officials are not full members of the Court, being civil servants, they are therefore not entitled to a vote at Council, although may still participate in all of its debates, and can also attend Committee, where they are entitled to a vote.
Candidate
Candidates of the Court are very new members of the Court that are yet to be officially inducted into the Court as a full ranking member. Candidates undergo a short trial period where they can become accustomed to the procedures and protocols of the Court, and can attend Committee meetings and Council sessions to familiarise themselves with current affairs. The Candidacy period allows Officers of the Court to see how the Candidate is progressing, and allows the Candidate to determine whether or not a move to the Court is the right thing for them. As Candidates are not considered official members of the Court, they are not allowed voting powers, but are still permitted to attend Council and Committee, and can still debate.
